A Mexican plant, the Poinsettias are traditionally grown for their flowers during Christmas. In Australia they are forced to flower during summer so we too can enjoy these gorgeous blooms at this special time of year.
Poinsettias will survive as a lovely indoor plant in temperatures between 20-25 degrees Celcius as long as they are placed in a sunny spot in a north-facing position. While flowering, poinsettias require minimal care – just water it occasionally when the soil becomes dry.
